Warner Huss

All who knew him are invited to share with his family. A visitation will be held throughout the day Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time for those wishing to view, say goodbyes and sign the quest register for the Huss Family.

Warner Gerard Huss, son of Margaret and Leonard Huss was born Dec. 18, 1954 in Williston. He really lived life, by emptying his tank with friends, family and community. Warner struggled over the past several years, and on June 25, en route to see family in Williston, with his good friend Lynn Kjorstad, Warner had a heart attack near Stanley and died.

Warner grew up in Williston with a love of sports playing basketball and baseball. The summer prior to his freshman year of High School Warner’s family left Williston for Minneapolis. Warner hung back for the summer and lived with his brother Mike’s in-laws to play Babe Ruth baseball which was always a fond memory of his. Warner attended Osseo High School near Minneapolis, where he starred in basketball and friends. He graduated from North Dakota State University, again starring in basketball and friends. He then worked at Concordia College, and the White Earth Rediscovery Center, before going to Minneapolis for OutsourceOne, now known as CieloStar. His love of music, and music festivals, and friends he made there also was a big part of Warner’s life.

Common denominator! FRIENDS.

Warner once said that “I’m not afraid of dying. At some point, you will have more friends up there then you do down here.” Heaven is a better place with Warner in it.

Warner is survived by his two sisters, Glenda Farmer of Ramsey, Minn. and her two daughters Nikki (Joe) Fehn, their daughter Aubrey; Stacie (Chad) Dalheimer, their daughters Ellie and Bryn; son Aaron Callier, sister, Darla Solomon (Mike) of St. Francis Ontario and daughter Adia. Sister-in-law, Linda Davis (Craig) of Williston and her sons Shawn (Shatha) Huss their Children Michael and Braya; Jeremy (Jessica) Huss their children Kaitlyn and Brianna; Chad Davis; daughter Tara (Spencer) Redding and their daughters Satori and Dimera.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Margaret and his brother, Mike.

Warner has so many friends, we thought we should build a blog for a central depository of stories and photos of Warner’s life that everyone can share and remember him by. Please visit the site at www.warnerhuss.wordpress.com.

Friends are encouraged to share memories and stories as well on the Fulkerson Funeral Home website for Warner at www.fulkersons.com.
