At 55 years young, Jim was surrounded by family when he entered God's embrace, passing peacefully in his home in Fridley, MN on November 22, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father.

Being self-employed in medical device sales, Jim was a hard working and honest businessman. Jim was generous, humble and caring.

Jim was born on July 4, 1954 and never missed the chance to put on a huge fireworks display. He enjoyed sailing on various waters and spending time with his family and friends at his home on Big Chippewa Lake, MN where his beloved dog Gracie was always by his side.

Jim was a loving father to his daughter Katie (Derek) Lynde and to his son Matthew (Brandi) Knoepfle. He was also a proud Grandfather to Conner, Olivia and Morgan.

Jim is survived by his parents Morris and Evelyn Wirth, his sister Cheryl (Gus) Sellheim, brother Howard (Sharon) Knoepfle, sister Wendy (Skip) Lindback and brother Mark (Wilhelmina) Wirth, and many loving nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
